BTW, it has aftermarket batteries. I don't know if that has an effect on anything.
I have an opportunity to get a 7d with the kit lens, a 55-250 and a 50 mm. It has an aftermarket battery grip. It will shoot all right in manual mode, but when in auto mode with the flash, it gives an error 50. Is it worth anything?

Very good shots, Vincent!
Thanks. Since I've joined the group and have gotten feedback from people more knowledgeable than I, my efforts have been improving. I thank all of you.
Fumblefinger disease strikes again!!!
Here are a few more of one of my favorite places. Many of the bridges and sculptures were created under the WPA (Works Progress Administration) in the late 1030's. That explains the art deco structures found throughout the park.
I hit the wrong button the first time. Thanks for the helpful comments.
These are a few of our "pets". Sometimes I wonder just who is the master and who is the pet.
I remember Dr. John when played in a local band in a New Orleans bowling alley lounge. He was great them and he is still great.
I was able to get a 7d w/50 mm lens for $150. It has a lot more bells and whistles than my XS, but the pictures look the same. The extremely good price is why I bought the7d.
I started with a Canon xs. I am by no means a photographer yet, more like a serious picture taker. I had the opportunity to buy a 7d for a really low price. I don't see a lot of difference in my photos.
I am originally from the New Orleans area, but I now live in a small town in Mississippi about 45 minutes from N'awlens.
He is supposed to be a chihauhua/schnauzer cross. We tried many names like wookie, Chewbacca and ewok. He didn't take to any of them. One day my wife was calling one of our cats. Here kitty kitty and guess who came running. The name stuck. He's a great little dog, and he gets along with the two chihauhas and pit bull and the cats.
After looking at the great photos on this site, I finally got the nudge to try shooting in manual mode. I am getting pretty happy with some of the photos I shot, but I still look forward to advice from others. These two shots are of my mixed breed dog who answers to the name, KittyKitty. It's a long story. I hope you enjoy them
Thanks, a local pawn shop has one for $20. It was a free be so I won't lose much if I can't get the part.
Thanks, I'll give them a try.
