Here are a few more of one of my favorite places. Many of the bridges and sculptures were created under the WPA (Works Progress Administration) in the late 1030's. That explains the art deco structures found throughout the park.
There are many stone bridges in the Boston area that my Dad worked on during the WPA and they are still standing and bearing up under the unbelievable Boston traffic every day. And then I see the bridges built over Rte. 128 around the mid-1950s, and many of them have had to be replaced already.
Thanks. Since I've joined the group and have gotten feedback from people more knowledgeable than I, my efforts have been improving. I thank all of you.
