I had the privilege of spending an evening with General Collins, along with my then boss, Lt. Col. Bob Zimmerman, at the Maxwell AFB, Officer's Club, many years ago. General Collins could not have been a more entertaining and genuine nice guy. Truly a memorable occasion for yours truly.
Have been to the Doorly. Great zoo and great photos.
This may support the old adage that anyone that wants to be a police officer, perhaps should not be allowed to be a police officer. High speed chase, For what? Beat down at the conclusion of the chase because the police are embarrassed or frustrated? Not good. I smell a Rodney King ending here.
Click and Clack used to recommend heated coffee beans as a deodorizer for cars, it might be worth try in try his case.
And I am sure monkeys would fly out of the tail pipe if it had one.
The pope calls his cardinals together and tells them he has good news and bad news. He says the good news is that Jesus is coming back the next day. The bad news is that he will show up in Salt Lake City.
Remember the reason grandparents and grandchildren get along so well is that they have a common enemy
Many years ago one of my history profs at the University of South Dakota made the comment if you want to read works of fiction read the "cause of death" on
death certificates prior to WWII, especially back into the 19th century.. People died of "the humors, vapors, consumption" and whatever. In many ways I believe the uptick of certain illnesses and diseases, is based on poor medical records and information from the past.
Practically anything with a switch and a pilot light.
I have two of these cameras without winders, among a bunch of other old film cameras. Just checked Ebay and there are all kinds of these dinosaurs for sale. My guess is that there are five twiddle two thousand AE-1, cameras out there. Is there really a market for them? I guess I am missing out on a few quick bucks.

Myth history, but never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
Correction:
And Here’s One Thing He Technically Didn’t Say:
“I never met a man I didn’t like.”
Ironically, for somebody who came up with so much Grade A material, most people associate Rogers with a long-lived misquote. In actuality, the full, unaltered line was “I joked about every prominent man in my lifetime, but I never met one I didn’t like.” A few years before his death in 1935, Rogers proposed it as an epitaph for his tombstone. However, the shortened version does appear chiseled upon his final resting place in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Will Rogers--"I never met a man I didn't like." He must not have known many people.
rapvich is correct. Personal photography is far and away a means of documenting events, day to day living. Usually including people, friends and relatives. Decided that one more sunset, tree, bird, flower or what all, isn't worth my time and will ultimately end up in file 13, anyway. I am slowing going through my photo albums and pictures of friends taken over the years are being sent to them if they can be located.
