have you tried a lawnwower repair shop, they keep all kinds of parts from older stuff
well now you don't have to make a mad dash to the house.
my wife has some I phone photos she sent to me as an email and wants me to to do some processing.
I just can not figure out how to get from emailed to a download into my LRC.

We've had an external brick chimney since 1975 for our woodstove. I've often thought about inserting stainless steel liners inside it. It would be durable and easy to clean. My worry is that while inserting a section of liner it would jam. Do any of you have any experience installing chimney liners?
Jerry I used to own a chimney sweep company. not a rough job but it has it's hazards. If not done correctly you could have major problems. I suggest that you find a certified chimney sweep in your area. you can on line the national chimney sweep guild and look for a certified sweep.
my older laptop became a very slow machine over the last 1.5 years. took forever to do downloads and updates. I was upgraded several times from windows 8 to finally windows 10. Processor and graphics card could not handle some of my photo work anymore.
Went to Best Buys and did some searching. Since the salespeople do not get commissions and are very knowledgeable I tend to trust them more.
Anyway dropped the hammer and purchased a new ACER Nitro 5 gaming computer, I am not a gamer, It was about 1K but but I love it. It is fast and has saved me a lot of time and energy, TOTALY PLEASED.
If using Best Buy would suggest joining Geek Squad for the $200. extra the did the transfer of the system from old computer to the new one, took a day in their shop which it would have cost the same if not geek squad member. This allows you to bring any similar equipment in with problems at no additional cost except for parts if needed for 2 years. They also did my wifes tablet N/C at the same time.
I had purchased when the supply chain opened up one and enjoy it. No cartridges is a blessing. the prints are good and and respond well to my Lightroom Classic program. Setup was easy and having the front screen on the printer sure helps. Two things about printing 19" the feed is on the back for that size and I would not print borderless it uses more ink and excess will spill over the the pads what will catch the excess.
well never say never.
I did manage to move some things around outside of Lightroom.
A quick call to Adobe and all is well again did not lose anything.
Thank you all for your interest in my dilemma.
I have been reading all the posts and my head is spinning.
Note: I do not move things outside of Lightroom.
in Lightroom Classic is a section above marked folders that is called catalog. bellow catalog it says All Photographs below that it says all synced photographs below that it says Quick Collection below which is Previous import and then missing photos.
All the photos marked missing are seen in my area marked My Lightroom Photos.
all the photos seen in missing photos are also seen in My Lightroom Photos.
If you click on Missing photos a message comes up asking to delete temporary file.
so as an experiment I took one photo that was not important in the missing which showed up in the My Lightroom Photos area ad deleted from missing photos.
Low and behold it was also removed from my Lightroom.
My assumption this is a shared catalog. and one affects the other.
I did have a problem with LRC a while back and a Adobe tech worked on it and when he was done us when the missing photos showed up and he stated do not worry about it
There is one more option I could take one or two sections from that missing Photo section and move it to the appropriate same section of the My Lightroom Photos section and see what happens.
Or that's where it came from. the number does not change so I guess I will not worry about it
wondering what to do. I look at my LRC catalog and for the longest time I see 11,000 plus missing photos. so today decided to look into the issue. all the missing photos are found in the catalog. I does say these are temporary files. investigating further all the visible photos are in my Lightroom photos. as I read about this If I understand correctly these are what I downloaded to Lightroom and if I delete this it will not delete anything that I had imported and the temp file will go away.
Is that correct?
Bridges and waterfalls my passion. Thank you
