Yes I use the Godox 350 on a Fuji XT2 and XT3. I also use their trigger device to control two 350’s and one V860.

I’ve been using Epson’s P800 for the past three years and even after having it turned off for three months while I moved, it started right up without clogging. Yes the ink cartridges ($58 ea.) are expensive but the results are impressive. I have sold thousands of dollars of prints in art galleries using the P800, so I can’t complain about the ink costs.

Epson SureColor P800 using their Legacy and Fine Art papers. Also having great results with Red River Baryta paper. Couldn’t be happier with the Epson.

PayBoo has saved me hundreds of dollars buying at B&H, but as others have mentioned, you have to make sure you pay your balance within its very short billing cycle. For example, B&H just shipped me a new lens two days ago and when I checked my PayBoo balance online, the balance was due the next day. So I highly recommend that you sign up for online payments and that you check the box that alerts you by text when your balance is due. (I have them alert me seven days before payment is due.) I would not rely on sending your payments by mail.

Yes, I was there a couple weeks ago. Lots of geese and tundra swans. A beautiful time for photography during the golden hour.

She said she wanted 600mm zoom.

The full frame equivalence of the Fuji 70-300 is 105-450. This news lens works with the inexpensive Fuji 1.4X and 2X teleconverters giving it an effective range of 630mm to 900mm. I would recommend the 1.4X. The point of her post was, I thought, to reduce size and weight. Check out the reviews for both the compact XS-10 body and 70-300mm lens.

Check out the reviews on the new Fuji XS-10 body and new 70-300mm lens. Great performance at reasonable prices, and both are compact and lightweight.

Consider a waist belt system such as the one offered by ThinkTank. When I was a photojournalist and travel photographer I used the ThinkTank system which allowed me to carry a full frame body with lens attached, two additional lenses, batteries, flash, filters, cleaning supplies and more. For outdoor assignments I even attached my travel tripod to the belt system, so I had no weight on my shoulders. BTW, in retirement I have switched to the Fuji X mirrorless system and use a small ProTactic BP250 backpack by Lowepro. No neck problems and evenly distributed weight on both shoulders. Good luck. At 76 I feel your pain.

I was able to get a Nikon SB800 to work on a Fuji XT-1, but if you’re unable to get your SB600 to work you might want to consider one of the inexpensive, but very good, Godox speed lights. The Godox 350 (F) would fit your Fuji nicely, and it’s relatively inexpensive.

I received an e-mail from my tech support group advising me not to upgrade until the first or second maintenance update is released, which will probably be early 2021. While Adobe is supposedly supported and compatible at this time, many third party plug-ins are not. (Although I just received notice that Iridient is ready with an update. ) Unless you have a compelling reason to make the move to Big Sur, I believe the overall consensus among techies is to wait for a few months.

The 55-200 is a terrific lens. Buy it. At the current deal, it's a steal. This video will give you some useful information https://www.andymumford.com/blog/2019/3/28/fujifilm-50-140mm-amp-55-200mm-telephoto-comparison-for-landscape-photography-video.

Sure you can get cameras with longer telephotos generally with tiny sensors. Personally I would not go that route.

I have the XE2 it's a great camera. I have the XT2 as well. I love the 16MP sensor in the XE2 (and XT1 if you want a tougher body with a tilting screen - I have one too)it produces magical images.

I can't justify buying the 55-200 at thee moment as I have the 18-135 which is my most used lens. You could buy a vintage M/F Zoom and mount it with an adaptor if you want more reach - there should be a 70-300 out there from Nikon, Canon etc....

Good luck.

I agree that the 55-200 is a terrific lens. I also own the 50-140 f/2.8 and before seeing Andy Mumford’s comparison video I ran my own sharpness tests and found the 55-200 to be as sharp at f/8 or f/11, and you have to be a pixel peeper to tell the difference at other apertures. Like Mumford I prefer the 55-200 over the 50-140 for landscape. When shooting events I switch to the 50-140 for lower light situations and faster AF.

I would recommend buying this lens, especially while on sale, and keeping your present body. Good glass will deliver better results than bigger sensors on inferior glass.

What's the point of the new one then?

The newer XT-4 has IBIS...in body image stabilization. It's a big deal to many photographers, not so to others.

It’s a good deal. The latest XT3 firmware update delivers the same AF performance as the XT4, and the 16-80 lens is stabilized. Both camera bodies share the same sensor. But if you plan to shoot mostly with Fuji’s excellent primes (not stabilized), the IBS of the XT4 may be worth it.

I have been using Blazing Editions in RI to print up to 40 X 60” pieces, and their quality is unmatched. More expensive than most, but we’ll worth the price. They are known for their high end, gallery work and are the choice of many pro shooters. For a very small fee they will send you several small samples of one of your images that show the various aluminum finishes you can choose, such as high gloss, matte, etc. Their customer service is tops, and the owner is quick to respond to any questions or issues. Highly recommended.
