I have a fireworks photo I would like to have printed on aluminum, something such as 11 x 14 or perhaps a 16 x 20. Normally, I print on my P800. I am familiar with the name of several printers who do this work, but not their results. I am asking for personal recommendations based upon personal experience. I am not looking for the least expensive, just for the best. I use WHCC for my SmugMug site with great results, but I am familiar with most of the pro-leaning sites. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I use WHCC or Bay Photo for my metal prints. Bay just happens to be running a 15% off sale on metal prints right now.

BTW - 11x14 metal prints look good, but to get the most dramatic impact, larger prints are the way to go.

I use Bay Photo exclusively...they're metal prints are great, as is they're customer service. My Smugmug sales go thru them, but I deal direct for anything else.

Printique.com (formerly AdoramaPix) does a good job.

Will second Bay Photo. I have printed 4 metal to date 16x24 and they came out beautiful.

I have been using Blazing Editions in RI to print up to 40 X 60” pieces, and their quality is unmatched. More expensive than most, but we’ll worth the price. They are known for their high end, gallery work and are the choice of many pro shooters. For a very small fee they will send you several small samples of one of your images that show the various aluminum finishes you can choose, such as high gloss, matte, etc. Their customer service is tops, and the owner is quick to respond to any questions or issues. Highly recommended.

I have been using ArtBeatstudios.com for my metal prints. All in the 24x36 size and they have turned out fantastic with my hangings averaging 10 days from hanging to sale!
Great customer service and quality. They printed one print 3 times due to shipping damage and shipped the final one in wood crating to insure safe shipping.
Couldn’t be happier! Try them this weekend for a 30% off sale!

Another vote for Bay. Be sure to download their ROES ap so you can see the complete selection of media and sizes - you can save 30-40% by choosing not to have them color correct if you have a calibrated workflow and soft proof using their ICC profile.

I will echo the Bay recommendations. Also recommend Black River Imaging, which is affiliated with Bay. Quality (and pricing) is identical as far as I (or my customers) can tell.

One BRI advantage: free shipping, which can be meaningful, especially for larger prints. I do not think BRI is currently running a promotion. If not, Bay's shipping charge would have to be assessed versus the present 15% discount to determine which lab is more cost effective.

I ussed Bay Photo for a 30 x 45 print and it is great. For smaller ones I use Costco and they are excellent as well. Most of the folks use the same processes. I emailed my images to Costco and a week later had by 24 x 36 of an Alaskan scene.

I had a 20x40 done several years ago by Printique. I was very pleased with the result.

Aluminyze is my go to for aluminyze prints. Great customer service. My prints in various sizes from 12x12 to 16x24 have been terrific! I just ordered 1 from Bay Photo but have not received it yet. It will be interesting to see how they compare.
