Exposure is more than just 3 values. Do you want a shallow depth of field? Are you trying to freeze motion or blur it?
1/8000 @ f/1.8 ISO 400 may be properly exposed image but if you're trying to blur motion and don't mind a deeper DOF, 1/60 @ f/11 ISO 100 would be more appropriate.

So..the example you gave (3 values) does to support your statement of more than 3 values..

Ok, so you have a pink tone when you edit raw but not when you export and see the final JPG result?

Did I understand this correctly?

If so, there is something really wrong here and it not PS CC or the OS. Edits are 'what you see is what you get' so... I have no clue.

Try unchecking the GPU use (but if corrected as you said this still makes no sense)....

OP did not say "export"; he said open.

Perhaps he is using a jpg viewer that extract the jpgs in the raw file

if that is the case then maybe wb off? but hard to see how you get pink frrom wb

Given any RAW file with Bayer Color Filter Array encoding there will be nearly an infinite number of "correct" but different interpolated RGB images that can be produced. Any one of them is just as correctly "spec'd" as any other. The manufacturer does nothing the determine which is the one the photographer wants. That is up to user! Note that "interpolation" means it is not exact, and is an approximation.

I'm ok up to this

The hue, the saturation, brightness and contrast are all user defined values. Those values do not exist in the RAW data. That is why we say there is no such thing as a "RAW image". When it is converted to an RGB image all those things are set to a specific value and only that value is then actually correct.

But hue, saturation, brightness etc, im my view, are post-demosaicing activities and can be done over and over as needed with the RGB files.

Do you consider HSB as part of the RAW conversion?

depends if you are getting a 2 channel (2 vs 4 does not matter) or 4 channel (4 better than 2) mother board.

But the benchmarks don't show much of an improvement in real world test...same can be said about 1 v 2 channel system.

The conversion involving color tones, saturation, brightness, etc..aren't the "post processing" activities?
I thought the purpose of the raw converter was to convert the raw image to a standard (!6-bit tiff example) format, then do the post processing.

Conversion fom RAW to RGB values are spec'd by the manufacturer..no? So there can only one correct conversion that can then be post processed.

What am i missing?

I scanned the replies but my 2 cents
1. get a dvd or bluray read/write drive..its handy
2. make sure you have enough usb ports..usb3.0, usb typec
3. make sure you have esata ports
4. I would put in a bulk hard drive internally. If you are doing photo/video editing, where are the files going to be? you need more room
5. get a bunch of cable wraps for the cables inside the box..tidy them up
6. maybe a 2nd fan for the case
7. do you have a eth cable to plug in? if not, then wifi
8. need bluetooth? i suggest (bluetooth headphones are nice)
9. got all the tools for screwing in?
10. Make sure the internal cables for the peripheral are long enough for the case/mother board. avoids having to go out and get them in the middle of a build
11. someone suggested a pluggable drive - depends on the volume of work you will be doing.
12. I think the need for video cards for photo an video editing is overblown.
13. having said that, be future proof for 4k video and upcoming 8k video
14. how many monitors and what resolution? that can drive the video ports.

Does it really matter?

Yes..if the changes were subtle then there would not be much changes in the levels so the compression would keep doing a good job.

I've never had onedrive sync all files just because a few changed.
I wonder if lr does something to the head directory to cause resync - like update last change time which would force a resync.

Can you just manually add a file(outside of LR) to the lr folder and see what onedrive does?
