How exactly do you switch? The only way I've found to get on a fresh battery is to remove the exhausted battery. There must be a better way. Help - this is making me nuts.

I'm primarily interested in showing my photos to my wife and elder family members. Every time I show my wife anything I've shot she says print it. We've already got prints all over the house! I know she wants to show our pics to her Mom (age 95) but this way she could just bring the tablet to her assisted living place. I do my editing in Lightroom.

I'm excited about the Samsung Galaxy S. I've played with it in the store and it appears head and shoulders above all the competition. I want to be able to take the SD Card direct from my D90 and plug it in. I tried it at Best Buy with jpegs and it works very well - it's amazing! So I'm ready to buy. Anyone have experience with raw files on an ANDROID DEVICE? Are there apps?

Wow glad I posted my concerns on UHH... Sounds like to U2713HM would be a better fit for me. I was hoping not to have to go through a color calibration exercise. Someone said a video card upgrade might be in order??? I have an I7 HP with 12 gigs of ram but I'm not aware of what the video card specs might be. One of you U2713HM owners please give me some feedback on video card requirements and reliability. Its great when the better solution costs less. Thanks!

Very interested in this from the reviews. I have an old 2001FP which blew me away some years ago, but now I want bigger and sharper for Lightroom processing. Any suggestion or comments would be appreciated. Dell wants $999, Amazon less but although I've bought a ton from them I'm worried about problems if I get a lemon.

Are you using a tripod for your scenic shots? If so have you turned off image stabilization? I have the same equipment and long distance was fuzzy till I turned off VR.

I had to laugh when I saw a fellow D90er driven by a GAS attack towards a D7100. I feel we could prick thumbs and dance around the campfire cuz my inner self would have me also believe I would surely die without an upgrade. Truth is like you I have NO complaints with the D90. I have managed to add 3 flashes, a vertical grip, a bunch of reflectors light stands, soft boxes and radio triggers to drive me to yet another camera bag. One day I will need a semi to get my stuff to the shoot.

Prior to my problems requiring recovery I had designated those directories containing data I could not afford to lose. When I lost my system I tried to recover, but was unsuccessful. The biggest weakness of Carbonite in my view is the confusing setup for designating critical files. One should be able to simply point to a file or directory. This is easy with Acronis. Recovery is even easier. Carbonite tech support is a joke.

Strongly suggest you consider Acronis (WWW.ACRONIS.COM) backup software. Currently offered at $29.99. Included are 5GB of cloud storage for a year. I tried it after a disasterous recovery attempt with Carbonite. Unlike Carbonite, Accronis is very easy to use. Your can specify how often to take full backups and incrementals. User decides how many generations to keep. When your specified backup generations get to your preset level Acronis will delete obsolete generations so you don't fill up your backup drives. Contact me for any further questions.

Lightroom's supreme feature has to be its ability to catalog your thousands of digital images. Imagine finding 1 image amongst thousands, or all the pics of your wife, your friends, places you've been, pets, vacations, cruises etc. If you need the other 5% a keystroke will send your image to Photoshop. It's so neat to be able to relive vacations, holidays or family events without digging out a shoebox. Export your images with ease to email, the Web or your TV. Export to a thumbdrive or sdcard and show your friends your finest images on your laptop. Images on your hard drive can get new life.

I just received 4 Yn622N triggers and one 622N-TX wireless controller. Total outlay was $215 getting TTL and High Speed sync in the PW world was nearly 5 times that amount. I have an SB900,SB600,Yongnuo 565 and a 560, which I plan to use primarily for portraits. Previously I had success with Yongnuo 603Ns, but of course I couldn't use TTL or HSS. I enjoyed the remote shutter function with the 603s and was surprised to find I didn't lose that capability. The wireless controller is amazing. I guess there is a Nikon device SU800 that controls wireless TTL for multiple units, but that was out of reach. After reading the "Yongnuo Speedlights" post I thought I would not be able to fire my 560, but I was able to do so.

Say one battery is at 90%+ percent and the other is at for example at 10%. Is there some way to force the cutover? I've been unable to find anything on this in the manuals.

Recently I was shooting a lot for the Flash 101 (Off Camera) course I'm currently taking and failed to notice one battery had become exhausted. In class, when we reviewed my shots I noticed a black band at the bottom of my pics. It was suggested that the low battery rather than my shutter at 200 might be the culprit. My question is why didn't the MBD80 auto switch to the fresh battery in the other slot?

I've learned a ton. First to achieve color Nirvana (Where monitor and printer look the same) you need BOTH the printer and the Monitor to be on the same page as far as color rendition goes. I thought telling LR5 about my paper characteristics could yield some benefit, but seems the monitor needs to be on the same page. I'm going to pause now and Upgrade my Samsung 2494 monitor. Cost wise I'm thinking about paying someone (Color Munki Guru??) to dial me in. It's to easy to throw money at something when I'm a few feet short of understanding all the parameters.
