When I was a little kid - late 1940's - there was a product called Oleo Margarine. I was white and came in a clear plastic bag. Inside the bag was a capsule of red food coloring. When the housewife brought this home, she would massage the bag, break the capsule, and keep working the product till it was roughly the color of butter. DIY food. Uum! Yummy!

Hmmmmmm.....memory #342
Lived in Niagara, Wi.... margarine was NOT sold in Wisconsin.
Iron Mountain, Mi.... 4 miles away. Had tons of it...
We loaded wagon which supplied 10 families for a month.
Wis. is Dairy State... sells only cow's yellow butter. War years. Nobody had "red" tokens to purchase "butter." Used them on items more important.

Hook up "horse team"... do a margarine run to Michigan. White sticky stuff with "red bean" in bag. Sunday evening.
Mushed it around during radio programs. "Great Gildersleve" & "Fibber McGee" etc... Each child got a bag of white stuff. Mother "popped" the bean. [children tryin' to pop a "red" bean resulted in punching a hole in bag]... that meant all the white stuff + red bean got dumped into large bowl and mashed with a "wood potato masher." "Oh Happy Days"

There are so many fonts on a Windows computer, and so many look alike. Would it create problems if I deleted or renamed some of them?

jer.. don't junk 'em....
Use different folders for different projects... that way I only load fonts pertaining to a specific project. I can add/subtract any amount of fonts in folder. That way U can control #of fonts loaded for project.. the rest are still there.... just not loaded when U select a certain project.
Some programs can place fonts into specific categories for Ur' viewing pleasure.... U won't have to censor —/- view fonts from A - Z etc..

Wife and I are heading to San Diego for a week's vacation on Saturday. Other than the obvious stops of the zoo, wild animal park and Balboa Park; where are places I should look at as a photographer for good photo ops? Since wife is not a photographer I would really appreciate places where she won't get too bored as I shoot. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

Point Loma.... [2 light houses.... upper cliff + lower [sea level] end of ROAD. Roads to each. Overlooks San Diego bay plus downtown area. North Island Naval Air station.... etc....
Sea Shores plus other eateries available. Ship Yards. Sports Fishing Fleet - 150 boats — all kinds for hire... any number of persons.... depends on Ur' $$! 5 to 40 persons. . p.s. I was deckhand on one... 1959... era.

How long did it take to download? Every time I try, it settles in at 2 - 4 hours (713MB). I'm not going to spend that much time downloading it.

If you're getting sick of me posting about my Win10 update problems, just let me know.

The error message I keep getting is "We cannot update the Reserved Partition." This is part of a response I got on the MS help site. I'm still working on this, and more information will be posted there, but does this make sense to anyone?

"There is no Active partition on a UEFI install which uses an EFI System partition to boot rather than the Legacy MBR System Reserved.
Apparently however the error refers to either EFI System or MBR Sys Reserved as "System Reserved."

iT'S GREEK TO ME... BUT KEEP ON GOIN'. I MIGHT RUN INTO THE SAME PROBLEM... SOMEDAY.... I won't install that VERsion 'till who knows when! Rite now I have a mail folder "1- - -10". When I see number "10" in a mail link it gets directed to that folder. [Komando has a ton of them] For the time being I'll stick with

I travel a fair amount and am looking for a way to back up my SD cards at the end of each day. I am looking for a low tech solution. I would really like to transfer the images from the SD card to a flash drive. There must be a cheaper solution for backing up. I don't want to purchase a hard disk or go through some kind of internet connection system since those are not available. I have heard of a device that connects to my iPhone 6S with an SD and USB port that can do it, but can find nothing about it except for a couple European photographs. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks for any advice.

I'm interested in finding a fairly simple relational database software product to organize my photos. I'm aware of Picasa and PSE11 organizers, but I believe they both copy the images with tags. The database I would like to create would only have pointers to the photo images, thus not creating a duplicate image file, but a much smaller and shorter file. The pointers could be anything you choose, like date, subject, event, etc. When you want to see all the images with Flowers, you would go to the database and enter Flowers and the software would extract all the images that had been tagged as Flowers. Again, the objective is not to duplicate the images. Is there such an animal out there? If so, I'd love to hear from you and your opinion on how easy it is to use.
BTW, I currently use my Windows file options of date created, and some with just event.
Thanks in advance.

Here's an idea vv ¿? ¿? ¿? ¿?
Ever hear of MicSft EXCEL ¿? ¿? or any spreadsheet. U can have as many "sort" vertical columns as U desire. . . . 2, 10, 50 or 100 sort" columns. [depending on how U name the sort columns... Date; Time; Location; Weather; etc. or maybe U like the A;B;C option. First alpha character [A waterfalls; B sun,] or use #1 waterfalls; #2 sun; etc. for column names.

If U go over #9, I suggest U number vertical column names as: #01 name to #099 name. . . If U go more columns, start with #0099 name.

The last vert. column in file could contain a "text" box feature for notes/description of item/ etc. Text boxes don't have to show until clicked upon. That way all vertical/horizontal rows/columns will be the same height/width.

No MicroSoft products on Ur' system.... Head on over to GOOGLE. They have ideas for just about anything. Good Luck!
