I can't prove their truth, but can you prove they are false?

Yes, go to either Snopes or Truthorfiction dot com. Both support my claim that they are false.

I hope you realize that all of these are FALSE. Not an ounce of truth in any of them.

Nope not a troll. Had a Canon 5Ti and shot in raw and processed photos just fine. Got the 5D mark iv and learned after I got it that Adobe OS and lightroom could not handle the photos that were collected in Raw format. Seems like a major oversight but that's OK . To me it's not a significant difference. My photos are just as good as anyone shot and processed with Raw settings. Thanks for comments to you and all else. Great forum here.

Odd. I have had a 5D Mark IV since late 2017 and have never had any trouble processing my raw files in Lightroom or Photoshop.

I don't believe much of anything in the New York Times, including this. I suspect people getting "creative" in their 40's and 50's (by the way 50's is past middle age - how many people do you know who are over 100 years old?) because at that age most of our kids are grown, giving us much more "free" time; combined with that being the age at which our incomes allow us to spend more on ourselves and our whims.

In fact the quality of the camera does have an impact on the quality of the photograph. Otherwise, why would professional photographers lug around all that high priced gear when they go on shoots? They would simply take along a point and shoot and call it a day. I assume that most of the folks on UHH own something better than a baseline point and shoot. Why are we spending that money unless we deep down think it will enable us to take better (or at least a wider variety) photos? Now I agree that owning a farrari does not make you automatically a great race car driver; but if all you ever drive is a little "smart" car, you surely are never going to be driving in the Indi 500.

Isn't greed (on the part of both Lebron and California) a wonderful thing??!! My comment is sarcasm by the way.

How can number 1 be number 1 in the world when it is listed as number 5 (of 395 hotels) in its own city? Does not compute!!

Look no farther than the activists, "news??" reporters, and lobbyists -- they are the ones our legislators listen to and they are all promoting dead or very very sick horses.

The first one, John Walter at AT&T occurred in 1997 -- 21 years ago. $22 million of the $25.8 million he received is because he had forfeited that much when AT&T hired him away from his previous job.

An by the way Reddog, I have absolutely no desire to go to California; it would be absolute last on my list of states to move into. So, "everyone" does not want to "come here" to California.

A Sawstop may not have saved the gentleman who started this -- depends on whether he reached across while the saw was running or after he had switched it off. A Sawstop only "does its thing" if the saw is running; once switched off, the rotating blade will cut off a finger (or hotdog) just like any other tablesaw.

Social Security benefits are not well understood by most. First: most people get 100% of the dollars they paid into the program back as benefits within 4 years of drawing benefits. I have been drawing benefits for a little less than 3 years and have gotten 100% back already. The argument that if I had invested that money, it would have been much more is suspect. Well over half of the dollars I paid into the program were paid over the last 10 years of employment (and I paid in for 50 years), so I would not have "made" that much on my money. Besides, have you looked at the saving rate for Americans recently? -- most people do not save nearly the percentage they pay into social security, so it is much more likely that most folks would have spent that money rather than "saved" or invested it.
Your second paragraph is incorrect. Members of congress do indeed pay into social security. I won't dispute that they have many other benefits we average Joes don't have (and they don't deserve), but not paying into social security isn't one of them.
Much of the problem with social security is that so many people now get it well before retirement age (disabilities, etc.); and people are now drawing benefits for so much longer than when it first started. When the program was first set up, approximately 10% of workers ever lived long enough to collect benefits; now that percentage is off the charts. The program was not intended to be a retirement pension plan, but to provide only the basics of life for those who reached retirement age. We were expected to provide most of our retirement funds ourselves or through pensions we received from the employer we worked for our entire career. We all know the story on where pensions have gone!

As of a result of Democrat policies, over 60 million Americans have been mercilessly murdered since Roe vs Wade; by comparison the Nazis killed "only" 11 million during the holocaust. The Republicans have started a couple wars that have led to the killing and maiming of thousands of American and foreign soldiers and civilians. Both are evil to the core, including those who vote for such evil candidates. One day soon, each of us will have to present our case to a mighty judge that will not allow any appeal to a liberal court that allows almost anything in the name of "citizen rights". The reality is that only that mighty judge can grant those rights.

My answer is YES, I would be willing to have Donald Trump watch my granddaughters, water my plants, etc. He has raised some pretty decent kids, regardless of what you think of his political views. Have have the kids of our left wing liberals turned out -- many of them think they selfish, foolish, greedy, self-serving individuals who cannot stand the thought of not getting everything they want RIGHT NOW!!

There may be high correlation in all these cases, but certainly no causation exists, making the correlation nothing but an interesting observation. I believe there was almost a perfect correlation between the first fifteen or so super bowl victors and the stock market direction in those years. If the winning team was from the original NFL, the market would go up; if the AFL team won, the market would go down. Worked for quite a while, but I suspect that is no longer the case. I believe that the study of meaningless correlations is referred to as econometrics.
