I find the settings, camera and lens information educational and triggers to thought. In seeing the image and considering the settings I am prompted to see the good and bad results of their selection. I often don't pay enough attention to my own settings until the picture is already taken and getting in the habit of looking at the settings of others helps me consider my own before it's to late. I also like knowing what camera and lens was used particularly when it's one of those that I own and can see what others have accomplished with the same equipment.

Hello all, I’ve been a photographer for 60 years.

I've had my eye on this one but have not yet purchased it.

I am budget sensitive and this seems to have what I need at a reasonable price. It does not include a ballhead but I have one I could use on it. The cost of the ballhead (or other camera mount) can be significant. So you need to include that in your $400 cost limit. I have a really good travel tripod (peak design) but in some instances it is susceptible to vibrations in the wind when doing landscape. It is good to avoid the center column for height as it also makes the tripod less stable.

Got to spend a couple days at the rockhouse off the Stillwater river. All but the grouse and last pic were out over a hundred yards with heavy cropping. I think I will be happy with this lens.

I bought and brought a nikon b700 with me to England for the same reason and left my dslr gear home. Not water proof but shoots in raw, has good pixel size and image quality and a great zoom. With a little fanny/belly pack it was great. Not a pocket camera.

Have a couple scan disk 2tb and they have worked well for me. Have had one for about 2 years and one for about 1 year. Price was right. They fit nicely in a small carry case.

For primary camera I use a 160gb in slot 1 for raw photos and 512gb for video in slot 2. Format every month or so depending on usage. Since starting this routine, I have never had a storage problem. However, if I wait too long to reformat, I end up bogging down the postprocessing workflow with too many files to search through to find the ones I want to edit.
