If u can afford the Dell , go for it. In the price range u mentioned I would look at th LG monitors. Best Buy sells them if you want to do a walk in pick up. I purchased the LG 29um58 ips monitor. Has 5 or 6 modes. 2 gamer ,1 reader ,1 photo, 1 normal &, a custom mode . I used the custom mode & callibrated the monitor with the Xrite i1pro display calibrator & the prints are pretty much spot on. If u do not own a calibrator yet , the photo mode is pretty close to the monitor after I calibrated it out of the box. LG 's newer models have more features now than when I purchased (11/16). Good luck!

[quote=CanonTom]I have and use this printer. I only print occasionally for personal purposes and sometimes go several months without printing. I have never had a problem with the cartridge jets clogging, etc. due to printer inactivity.

It doesn't matter , canon , pc ink. Every 60 hours it runs a cleaning cycle so the heads do not get clogged ( if I understand it correctly) .

It's not the cost of the printer, it is the cost of the ink. Pixmo Pro-100 refill set on Amazon is $148 I think.

Canon sells the ink set for the pro 100 for $125. Precision Colors sells 5 times the amount of ink for a few bucks less once your set up with there kit if your willing to refill the cartridges yourself.

Your best choices are Nikon D500 and Nikon D7500.

The D500 has fast fps, fast and accurate autofocus, good weathersealing, good in low light, large buffer and generally considered the best camera today for bird shooters, other brands included in that statement. There are many other advantages of the D500, too many to count for here.

The D7500 is a trimmed down version of the D500. It has the same sensor and resolution. The fps is slower, the buffer not as large, only one SD card, according to reviews the autofocus is not as accurate but still very good. The camera is made of more plastic and less metal. So the camera body is not quite as strong but lighter. This camera is a very good camera for birders and the main advantage over the D500 is the price.

The D7200 has one advantage over the other two, it has a bit more resolution but behind them in most or every other way which is quite normal as it is a few years older technology, kind of a one generation older camera.

The 1rst paragraph says it all. The D500 is superior to the 7500!

I just go thru them as I please, zoom in, deleting &, edit 1 or 2 here & there but, I'm not a working photog. You can rename the files anything you want to sort them out. Check out u-tube for vids on LR & PS. Also there are some pretty good books out there with Scott Kelby's being some of the best. I haven't used Photoshop yet but I understand it is a steeper learning curve.

Have fun , Tom
