Willie Nelson also said, "I've outlived my penis."
I hate this. It's another reminder of how much I love film cameras and film photography. And how I hate the digital cameras. Never mind the wonderful advantages of my DSLR and the great images I am getting. So easily. But I will never hold my DSLR with the same affection that I held my Nikon F3hp or my Olympus OM4. Nor will I ever forget Kodachrome. Now I'm going to go find my OM4 and shed a few tears.
I drive past this at least once a month. It really is awe inspiring. There was a huge flag there before, but a storm blew the pole over. I'm sure there's a utube video showing that event. But, thank you Acuity for building a new one.
I drive about 20,000 miles a year between my car and my truck. The last two miles to my house are on a gravel road. I frequently go to Milwaukee and Chicago, about 190 and 300 miles away, respectively, and in the last 16 years for sure, and probably more before that, I have never had a flat tire. I don't even know where the spare tire or jack is for my truck, and have no idea where the jack is for my car. So, for me a spare or jack doesn't mean anything. It sure wouldn't be a deal breaker.
This partly explains the rantings from the UHH left and right wingers. You are probably nice people, but hiding in the internet allows you to say things you would probably would not say at a casual gathering. And, now comes the rantings!
We've stopped and stayed there for a few days several times on our way further south. It's really a very, very nice city with a lot to do.
Someone out there will find a way to blame it on President Obama.
Yesterday, in the Atlanta airport, we needed a wheel chair to take my wife from one gate to another, far away. The transporter, a woman in her mid 50's said she signed up for Obamacare and was thrilled with it because it was so much less expensive than her previous insurance. During the long walk, a young man, probably in his 20's joined us. He too, has Obamacare, and he too was thrilled with the savings. I wonder how many Obamacare critics recognize that there are in fact millions of people, yes millions, mostly low income people, who are now signed up for Obamacare who really needed it, and love it. For me, yesterday there were two faces put on the issue. Two happy faces. Would you deny them that?
And, finally, from a casual uhh reader, I don't even know what an OP is, so I don't know if I am offending anyone or not. I rarely submit questions or comments. I just read uhh when I have time, to learn.
While I continue to shoot both film and digital, I don't know the best way to get my film on my computer. Is it good enough to just get a cd when the film is processed, or should I have the negatives scanned? If scanning is best, any recommendations for a scanner. Thanks.
With the fresh batteries, rotate the shutter speed dial to each setting.
I wasn't too thrilled with HDR--until I saw this. Love it.
Didn't anyone notice the Oldsmobile?
I recently returned to film, lately thinking about black and white. After seeing these riveting photos, welcome home TMAX!
So, what is the thief going to do if he can't use your lens, return it?
