Here is a link for resources to my town that some of you might like.

We moved here after living up north for 38 years and really love the city and surrounding areas so I just figured why not post it here for my friends and others at UHH. I believe that Chattanooga is a too well kept secret for vacationers, so I'll do my little bit to change that.

We've stopped and stayed there for a few days several times on our way further south. It's really a very, very nice city with a lot to do.

Mine too. I was born in Harriman and went to Cincinnati in 1970 and then moved here in 2008 and love it. Every time we cross the river or go boating I say to my wife how happy I am to have moved here and she agrees. She was born in North Carolina and moved to Harriman when she was a child. We got married after my time in the Army and moved North because that was where the work was then.

So once again I say I am really glad we moved here.

We live just west of Nashville. My wife and I have talked about moving to Chattanooga after retirement. That's about 12 years away. For now I will just have to be happy to visit. It's about a 3 hour drive.

Hey Gene. Have you driven up the Tellico River?

Moved to Chattanooga in 2008 from California's Bay Area. Miss the variety in California (where I lived for 67 years), but not the high cost of living or the traffic.

As neat as the Nashville area is, you won't go wrong moving here.

It is difficult moving away from your home town but I am glad you are adjusting. I bet the slower pace is driving you nuts here. It took me awhile to adjust to it.

If you have never driven up the Tellico River it is well worth the time to go for a day trip. It starts out in Tellico Plains, just outside of Cleveland....The most beautiful drive in the South east.
