I'm.curious about this; there are quite a few VW trikes around w/I saddle style seats that are classified as motorcycles. I know from experience.

Farmerjim:

Being shot is it the only way someone can kill you. Knives, baseball bat, even withe their fists. I'm too old to outrun just about anyone.

Thanks, MMC. Checked out the link you sent me. It's a shame Nikon does not make an adapter that works. Seems to me the mechanism causes more problems that it is worth.

I have two Nikon Coolpix P520's. Looking for lens hoods that will work on these cameras without vignetting at wider angles and will not harm cameras. Also, looking for adapter for above cameras that will accept polarizer lens. Have already tried one that was a solid tube that used set screws to attach to camera, but it vignetted and I was told it could harm the camera (don't remember the brand). Any help appreciated.
thanks.

One of you guys posted a joke about a man & wife playing a game of fart football (along with another good one) recently. I can't find it; could whoever posted it re-post it?

Thanks

Ditto the Nikon straps. Have one on each camera; have carried two cameras thus equipped simultaneously very comfortably.

My two cents worth. I bought a Nikon Coolpix P520 this last spring. Liked it so well I bought another one this summer.
Articulating LCD screen, viewfinder, and 42X zoom capability, as well as 18.1 megapixels. They have Wi-Fi capability, and a full range of manual settings. A very good book written by a reviewer indicated things this camera can do that gives you a vast amount of variety in shooting modes using various tricks. Written by Alexander White and easy to digest. I believe he has reviewed other brand cameras as well. I know there are other brand cameras just as good, but, for the price, I went with these. Under $250 apiece refurbished, but with a 1 year warranty which is usually only on a new camera.
Only drawback with bridge cameras, by and large, are the inability to use many filters or lens hoods. However, this past weekend I took a class wherein the instructor told me that there are places that do sell these accessories and they do work well. Will be checking with him further to find out where to find them. I aqm not one who believes that the cameras I own are automatically the best, and have used other brands a well, but I found that these did what I wanted. Again, my 2c worth.

Rode horseback on our own horses in the Yellowstone, Boulder, Wind River range, and Teton range, as well as the Weminuche Wilderness area of the Colorado Rockies. The horses allowed us to get deeper into the wilderness areas in the amount of time we had to do so. Took slides with Nikon 35mm film cameras with a variety of lenses and filters. Have to dig them out of storage and go through them after seeing the above. This country and world have so much beauty, and I envy those who have seen such areas as Iceland, Norway, etc.
For those of you who live close enough, Big Bend National Park is a beautiful area of mountains and desert. Some great photo ops.

I agree with Bruski. I have 2 bridge cameras (Nikon P520) and as a serious amateur feel they do a great job at a reasonable price.

fantastic shot. Did you use any software to enhance the photo; if yes, what did you use. The picture came out great.

I've got 2 coolpix P520's & am amazed at what they can do. I have read a book on the above cameras that is very well written. Articulating display, 42x zoom, &
enough options for shooting to satisfy me as a serious amateur.
Can't remember what I read about the p600, but the p520 caught my eye after comparing a number of Nikon bridge cameras.
Got mine through Cameta Camera; refurbished but they have a 1 yr warranty like new ones. Got them both for the same as 1 Nikon 3300 would cost. Not trying to sell U on them; just thought I would pass the info on if it was of interest.

Great shots, Vicki.

I went to some wetlands near me the other day that is supposed to be a bird and butterfly sanctuary; didn't see either. Oh well, I live on a river where Egrets fish so I don't totally miss out.

Again, great pics; would make some great posters.
