The only place I've been to take a lot of photos of is the Grand Canyon. Fantastic place.

I have lived in Arizona for the past 15 years and I have yet to make it to the Grand Canyon :(

Disneyland was open 10 years before I went through the gate and I lived 30 miles away. You should make the trip, it's well worth it.

I have visited one of the honourable mentions, Shipwreck Cove at Zante.
I have to say I wasn't impressed. I had this idea of an old wooden pirate type ship but was greeted with an old rusty cargo ship covered in graffiti . It isn't white sand either but very sharp crushed shell which although looks lovely it doesn't do your feet any favours.

What I actually saw :(

You're worse than me...it only took me 8 years of living in Arizona to make it to the Grand Canyon. You should go, the scenery is breath taking!
took me only 30 years to make it to Crater lake
I've been to several of these places and have pictures somewhere in my archives. Some pictures would be old 35m slides but others are fairly low resolution digital photos. I recall on visiting the Canadian Rockies my old Kodak digital stopped working so I don't have many pictures. Likewise, I had a film camera that did not load properly so a lot of lost images of the Hawaiian Islands.
I've promised myself to spend some time this coming winter going through my old photos. I'm sure I have some good ones from Yellowstone that deserve some editing and perhaps some from Yosemite and Niagara Falls. I also want to rescue some old photos and videos of Alaskan Glaciers.

LOTS and lots of really great photo ops....plus the Canyon!! I lived in Tucson for several years
I've was lucky enough to visit and take photos of waterfalls in Iceland, fjords in Denmark, and several of the honorable mention sites. I would love to visit southern Patagonia.

Plan to see the whole Colorado Plateau in all four seasons. Ever changing, ever peaceful, startling wildflowers and wildlife.
Yellowstone/Grand Tetons are great ... try Yellowstone in the winter ... at times surreal
Colorado River Plateau endless beauty ... Bryce Cannon, took photos 24hrs a day
Yosemite is beautiful ... try the back country and areas away from the main village
Niagara Fall .... the Canadian aside North of the falls is wonderful
Can't argue with the selections in the video ...
Why do so many photographers/people think they have to travel great distances to get great photos?
Generally speaking; "Look in your "back yard"!
Thank you. I have been to about 12 of these locations .Have NEVER seen photos of some of these places. We live in a Beautiful world.
If you like the Grand Canyon, consider visiting the COPPER CANYON in Mexico - a nice train trip with remarkable photo opportunities. COPPER CANYON is supposedly larger than the Grand Canyon.
