I purchased the New Microsoft Surface Pro back in July as my "travel laptop"...it came with a stylist pen. It is super fast (512 SSD, I7, 16gig memory) I use stylist for some functions with Photoshop, but it probably does more than my abilities. I use it for spot healing, cloning sometimes, some bush strokes, and sometimes with the lasso tool...Probably some other functions too, but as I said I'm sure it can do more but I'm a slow learner. But it is nice to go back and forth from stylist to mouse on the fly...some actions for me a just easier with my mouse as that is how I learned...I guess you learn one way it is hard to change something that works well for you to something new but I'm trying. While editing photos on my desktop I just use a mouse. Good luck with your choices.

I think it is a 1949 to 52 Chevy....in 1953 Chevy put in "wrap-around" windshield...no bar in the middle. I think it is a 1950, but definitely not a 1953 or 1954..my two cents

I owned a D610 for nearly a year, after the third time to Nikon repair for oil spots, yes oil spots, I took a beating and traded it for the D750 body...originally I had 24-85 lens on the both bodies...short time later I traded the 24-85 for the 24-120mm lens that you mentioned...that is my main lens now and what I consider my "walk around" lens....although a bit heavier than the 24-85, the photos it produces (if I do my job with proper focusing and exposure) are exceptionally sharp in my eyes anyway. I hang the camera on a Black Rapid sling strap and I can walk around all day with this combo over my shoulder and across my body.... Good luck with your choice but the D750 with the 24-120 as mentioned by others is a great combo.

It looks pretty right on to me. In my humble opinion, it looks like a great combo....keep up the great shooting

I had the same results when calling Adobe support after I upgraded to the 2018 version. Naturally I was disappointed....then read on here the next day that someone said to reinstall it from the download you original got from NIK...I did that and NIK works on my Windows 7 pro machine and Windows 10 laptop on the 2018 version with no hiccups so far....try to reinstall despite what Adobe says...too many of us on here have it working with the new version. Good luck!

After I did my upgrade NIK was not there in the filter menu....I called Adobe Tech Support...I was told that NIK will not work with the new version of Photoshop...naturally I was disappointed but the damage had been done I had already upgraded...The next day someone suggested a reinstall which I did and lo & behold it works fine. They another upgrade last night I did and after reading all the comments on the site I decided to see if it still works...the good news yes it does. Sadly, Adobe will be no help if you call for support. I hope someone on the site that is a Apple user can give you a fix or work around, I'm still running Window 7 Pro and Windows 10 on a Surface Pro and it works on both machines...good luck

I have that same tripod only mine is carbon fiber so my part number is XC525C. I replace the head that came with the tripod with a "Benro B1 Ball Head". This was recommended by my contact at Samy's camera...I took my gear and tripod and this was his recommendation for my type of shooting. I told him that eventually I will purchasing a long lens such as 200-500 or 150-600. He said this would hold my gear with no issues....so far so good, but I don't own the long lens yet, so time will tell.
Good luck on your choices.

Thank you Annie, to answer your question, I'm in a 55 an older Del Webb community in Beaumont, CA....Beaumont is located at the top of the pass down into the desert i.e. Palm Springs, Palm Desert, etc...about half way between San Bernardino and the Palm Springs area.
When you ask about the 4 vets, if you are referring to the ones with their service dogs, I think she was Air Force, for that matter all of the woman vets that attended that I had contact with were Air Force. There may have been other branches there, but I didn't have contact with them....By the way, again thank you for the nice job compliment.

I realize what I'm about to suggest isn't in the budget you mentioned above, but earlier this year I replaced my Lenovo with the New Surface Pro with I7, 16g and 512 SSD. It came with a stylist and I added the Bluetooth mouse. You can't beat the weight and speed of this computer. I runs windows 10 and all the travel software I need, i.e. Photoshop, Lightroom, Word, Excel, Outlook. I love using the stylist while doing some editing...not quite a Wacom tablet, but for my use it works very well for me. I'm a long way for being an expert with Photoshop so the stylist is perfect for me. I'd suggest saving a few more nickels and dimes so you can go look at this computer. So far I'm really enjoying as I can use it as a tablet or with the full keyboard...In addition the keyboard is removable. By the way this bugger weighs just slightly over two pounds with the keyboard attached....less if you take it along an just a tablet. Also, I had a Lenovo prior to this new Pro, worked great for four years before the HD gave out...good machine just a little heavy for travel at nearly 6 lbs.... I know that doesn't sound like much weight until you'll schlepping thru airports and rent a cars. Good luck on your choices no matter what you choose.

I live at the top of the pass (Beaumont) down into the desert (about 45-50 minutes from Palm Springs so not quite as hot) If you're not up to spending a lot of time driving around to all the places mentioned above there are a couple of very interesting things right in Palm Springs area...the Living Desert is a great place to photograph animals, birds, reptiles, cactus. It also has probably one of the best model train layouts you'll ever see. At least a dozen volunteers work on the train layout throughout the year. Not just the train layout but the entire park is always expanding and being updates...an absolute don't miss...it is definitely not your typical zoo...they'll let you feed the giraffes at different times of the day...kind of fun if you've never done it before...you can get right up and personal with them..... Plan on spending all day at the Living Desert...

Also there is a wonderful air museum on Gene Autry Drive obviously near the airport...most hotels have discount tickets, although it isn't an expensive entry fee.

On Thursday evening there is a "street fair" down the main drag of Palm Springs...starts around 5:00PM till 9:00 I think...go early as parking gets hard the closer to 5, we usually go around 3 and walk the strip until the street fair opens...lots of arts and craft as well as a variety food vendors...also lots of fun. In the winter when the sun goes down some evenings get really cold this time of year...now keep in mind I'm a Southern California boy so cold is relative to what you're use to.

Have fun...if you have any questions please feel free to shoot me an email directly lsjoel@verizon.net...
