The law states that if it on private property but can be viewed under reasonable circumstances by the public, and is not a recognizable face or have one in the shot, you can use it for cash gain without a permit. Such as the front of someone's house or a tree in their yard, and I would say, a vehicle in the drive or even parked in a garage with the door left open. However, you cannot not take those pictures on private property without a release and permission, so if you were not on her property, you are fine.

To have avoided the whole thing, get an engine room crew who pays attention. It's their job to watch the gauges and notice any drop in pressure BEFORE the leak breaks out and ignites. This was human error. Someone was not doing their job.

the suggestion to photograph the photos is a very good one and one I always use since I had problems with scanning much like you.

I have been using Elements since it first came out. It is very good for a fair price and not too difficult to work with.

RichieC: "The stock is sticking up past his shoulder into the air, a rookie move. It is pointing quite low for most skeet or trap targets. And only when the stock is in its proper cradle of your shoulder, will you be able to sight properly down the barrel."

All spot on. I believe the "yellow" ring is brass and I've seen them on some guns although I don't know the exact purpose, but a compression ring rings true in my mind. My thought on this is that with the stock in this position, the eye wear and ear guards, how can anyone be sure it's truly him at all?

It appears "real" to me; however, it is almost conclusively, IMO, a posed shot (by the gun, the model, and the photographer)and means very little in the end other than it brings negative/positive attention to a debatable and hot topic. :-)

We all start out with hesitation. Everyone starts at different times in their life. A photo you like and pleases you, is a good photo. Post one and I'm sure no one is going to go on about in language that is over your head. We start slow with small suggestions and as you take one step forward, we will encourage you on to the next step.

My photography is very poor by most standards, but I take hundreds of them every month and work to make them the best my equipment will allow (which is not much since I don't have a very good camera to start with) but I'm happy with what I have and I'm happy to learn more.
