Does anyone know if it is possible to swich the auto white balance off on the D5300?

I'm interested in any UHH members that have used the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 Di II non vc for nikon. What's your recommendations?
I use a Sigma 150-500mm with my D5300 with good results. It is heavy, but can be found on ebay for around $500. The lens has an autofocus motor and optical stabilization.

I have the Tokina 90mm f2.8 and purchased it used. It is a great macro and works well with my D5300. It is the previous model F004.
