Nice set - were all but the first one taken from Mt. Washington?

I like 2 and 3.

They're my favorites as well - I especially like the way the light reflects on the man's face in #3.

Wow! Just a bit obscure.

Actually, it was quite simple to accomplish - my gripe is that NOWHERE in the manual or in my other books could I find how to do it!

Very nice - I especially liked the one with the wild horse - seeing it would have given me chills as well.

And what was the solution?

"While pressing on the BKT button rotate the main command dial until the bracketing progress indicator and BKT icon are no longer displayed." Sure wish I had known how to do that while at the Games - it would have made life so much easier!

Great shots, Sue! I love the photo of your clan...but some of them don't look too happy!

Thanks for the comment! The two youngest (7 & 5yo) were VERY tired - we left Ohio at 7am, drove 7 1/2 hours down to NC, went immediately to Grandfather Mountain, and the Calling of the Clans ceremony wasn't over until after 10pm, then it took close to another hour to get out of the parking area and back to our condo - we were all exhausted!!

As a former (many years ago) recreational smoker I find the trend toward legalizing pot to be disturbing. I remember what it did to me and I wasn't a heavy user - I wasted untold hours being "creative" and designing houses to the exclusion of truly gainful occupations. Legalizing pot is doing nothing but bringing on a real-life zombie apocalypse, but maybe that's what the government wants - wacked-out people who can easily be controlled!

I ran into a very frustrating problem with my D7200 while at the Highland Games this past weekend. Two days in, the shutter speed started making crazy swings after taking a picture with corresponding problems with the light meter. I had no idea what was going on and had to reset shutter speed and the light meter for every picture and there was no way the continuous burst feature would produce good results - made it difficult to get good action shots of caber tossing and highland wrestling! I eventually realized that I had hit the BKT button by mistake but had no idea how to turn it off and just had to live with it for the rest of the weekend. Once home I searched my manual and various books but none of them said how to turn it off! Then I went on-line and found a two year old post from UHH that dealt and solved my problem - thanks to whoever wrote that post - everything is fine now!!

It's always sad to lose old architecture - it is losing part of our history and heritage. It's good that you got an image of this house.

You're forgiven! We've all done that, and I find it very difficult to proof read off the screen; the printed copy is much better. I note that your grandaughter (?), in the dark polka dot dress, doesn't look too happy about being in front of your camera. Maybe it's time to start her being behind it???

She wasn't very happy because it was late and she (all of them, really) was very tired - we left Ohio at 7am and went straight to the Games and that picture was taken well after 10pm.
