Hi Folks, I ran across this old house while on some backroads in central Kentucky. It was so interesting, I had to stop and take this photo. Looks like her days are coming to and end as someone appears to be dismantling her. I see the front porch has already been removed. I know nothing about his place, but old places like this, always catch my attention. I hope you enjoy her too...

Yeah Man...those scary old Kentucky Ghost who might live here love tidy lawns though. It's the "Bluegrass State"

She must have been a real beauty in her day. Love the red brick chimneys.

James, it's truely heartbreaking to see a magnificent house, such as this, fall into such a, probably, irretrievable state that tearing it down is the only option.

It sure was Angela, and totally unexpected. We were on our way to what we thought was President Abraham Lincolns Birthplace, but we miss read the sign and ended up at his Grandma's house instead. It was located just a couple more miles down the road from this house. That was cool too, so we got to see a lot of neat old houses on that old crooked gravel road.

Ok Folks, I'll make replies tomorrow...been traveling, I'm bushed and my kitties need rubbing. They're meowing non-stop.

A thought provoking image, James. Old houses always make me wonder about the people who lived in them so many years ago. Who were they, what did they like, what did they do? I'm drawn to old cemeteries for the same reason. It makes me feel like one link in the never ending chain of life. Your quality processing really enhances this image. Well done.

Great find and photo, James. This looks like it must have been a grand home in its day. Makes me wonder about its history.
