Steve's books, all of them, take you beyond telling you "how to" and teach you to THINK and do it with a style that will help you remember. A great resource.

Much prefer the color.

There are nuances to color at night that simply get lost in b&w.

Humidity over the water. A polarizer would help.

Wish it had a camera... would love to see its interpretation of you.

As a fellow D850 owner, let me suggest you check out Steve Perry's site at backcountrygallery.com. His blog has a wealth of Nikon information and his books on "Exposure and Metering for Nikon" and "The Nikon AF System" will help you dig into the depths of that great camera.

Steve is a member here and, although I have no affiliation with him, I cannot recommend his site and books highly enough. A GREAT RESOURCE!

Nice shots!

A bit reminiscent of an old, well worn VW Bug. Brings back memories.

Wonderful on so many levels, from composition to lighting to the synchronicity of it all coming together with you in the right moment in time and space.

Back in the day when communism was rampant in Russia, a Russian gentleman by the name of Rudolph got married. He and his new bride had just checked in to their honeymoon suite when Rudolph happened to look out the window. He said, "Look, it's raining." His bride, showing her independence, said, "No, it's snowing." Whereupon he replied, "Rudolph the Red knows rain, dear."

I actually remember retelling that joke from Red Skelton back in the early 60's. JFK might have still been alive.

I figured that based on the high usage rate, the print head would be next, so I just bought the new printer. Also, I have other things to spend my time on (like post processing).

Can't say I blame you. But worth a look if curiosity gets the better of you.
