I can vouch for BCC, the newspaper chain I worked for used them for equipment. Also can recommend Unique Photo, 2 locations in north Jersey, huge showroom, good selection and support staff. I often have done business with Adorama and B&H, they are all stellar. The prices will be comparable, the goodies will vary.

Bergen County Camera in Westwood, NJ. They are a family business that opened in 1980 and have survived in the backyard of the two big stores we all know in 'The Big Apple'.

Ask for Bob, Paul or John. But anyone of their Team can and will be very helpful. They actually have a focus session every Saturday morning at 9:30 for tips, tricks, photo topics, and discussion; with anywhere from 30 - 60 people attending. They care about your photography.

The Nikon LS-2000 has a 2700 mode.
I don't know anything about using equipment on a Mac.

Thanks, the resolution of the 35mm format on my old Epson Perfection Photo 3450 doesn't cut it. I'll try looking around online.

How’s the actual usable resolution on the Nikon? Does it not run on Macs and need to use Windows software?

I’m right there with you. It’s as old as photography itself. I remember my ex-F-I-L reviewing a photography presentation about his work asking, whose that old man in the photos?

You just have way too much money. Guess that the NJ DemoCraps haven't raped your pocketbook enough.

The Feds rape NJ and NY taxpayers, to distribute their tax payments to the poorer states that contribute less.

Is there another time of year when we should keep our eye out for sales? For those of us who missed this one?

UIRCC, from my years doing online content decades ago for a big manufacturer, camera sales in the U.S. are scheduled for President’s Day, Father’s Day, sometimes graduation time- 7/4, Black Friday-Xmas(now apparently through 12/31).

My experience shooting a news story in an operating room is that no flash is permitted, so use spot /highlight priority metering for the 'closeups' with the bright task lights. Light balance setting depends on the room, and your priority. A 70-200 to shoot around the elbows and bodies, and a moderate wide angle in your pocket for the entire room. The camera bag stayed outside. I don't have experience shooting in a delivery room, and when my son was born, decades ago, NYU prohibited me from moving from the side of the room where they placed me, behind my wife. The curtain covered everything below her chest, I could only see my son for seconds before they whisked him off.
