I want to shoot a local landmark using a CPL and an FL W filter. Please understand:
1. I don't have the FL-W yet, so I can't experiment, and;
2. I will have a very short time to work, so I want to get it right from the beginning..
So the question: does it matter which filter is in front of the other?
Thanks,
Ben
Ben, see what happens when you ask a straightforward question. My answer is no. But it since putting the the CPL filter on the top allows easer adjustment of the CFL then put it there.
You mentioned you don’t want to do PP with a computer then don’t. If you weaken and want to see what PP is all about white balance is an excellent place to start. Sometime shoot a photo with JPEG + raw and try it. Since I have used Lightroom Classic almost exclusively for a dozen years I can’t be certain but I believe all raw processors in a similar. You pick any nice sounding setting as a starting point grab the slider and see what happens. There is no “right answer” except for many professionals. Often a tiny push one way or the other can make a big difference. And sometimes a radical push can completely change the mood.
Be cautious because you are on the slippery slope to the rabbit hole of masking to tune up objects.
