Well we all live in a different world. My best friend died in the summer while in the hospital because of Covid. It might be a low percentage of deaths, but all it takes is one you know to feel it.

If you haven't already, you will have to set the Canon transmitter to optical instead of radio. Another key feature on the 580's requires adjustments by holding down the Zoom button for a couple of seconds and adjust the flashes to slave.

For incident meter readings the best balance of features between the top end and low end is the Sekonic L-478DR. The touchscreen is responsive, easy to understand and read. I have used a friends extensively and was surprised of it's capabilities. I've owned a L758DR for several years now. It was top of line before being replaced by the 858 but in all honesty it's overkill for most uses. The 758 & 858 allows to store multiple combinations of cameras profiles. One extra feature the 858 has is the ability to perform light metering in HSS. No other meter that feature.
If you're willing to buy used, a Sekonic L-478D Litemaster Pro is listed in excellent condition on mpb.com for $214.00.

I agree with Linda here. The image looks like it suffered from an overcast sky creating "flat" lighting. You'll receive the most interesting mix of shadows/highlights when most people are sleeping or later in the day as it it approaches dusk.

Some combinations using the R2 Pro and lights from Godox use ID/Channels. I know my R2 Pro & Flashpoint AD600 Pro support ID's. Here's a screenshot.

He's correct. The wireless ID needs to be set as well as the channel. Otherwise another photographer could trigger the flash during an event by mistake.
