CF card vs. SD is one more reliable?

I have both and the only complaint I have is the size of the micro SD. Old fingers and bad eyes. :D Does anybody know why we need 50 pins on a CF card and only 10 on a SD card?

Amazon cloud storage anyone?

Lens Focal Lengths
