had a quick go at one and thought you could try it this way as the path to me is to smooth for the rest of the shot and light house needs to look stronger, my attempt is rubbish as it picsalated to much for me to have a better finish. #2 looks good but is a bit to dark. Both a really good shots and well worth entering

This is also a nice crop. I have been a camera club judge for 5 years, and believe me, the path puts you in the picture and leads you right to the lighthouse. But all judges are different and you have to do what you like best. Again, good luck!

Thanks CoolCameraGirl for the crop example and others for your comments as well. As I look at the ocean landscape one, it is a bit dark, so I'll work on that. Thanks again to all.

You are welcome and good luck with the contest. I hope you win.

In my opinion, the first is better. I hope you don't mind, but a crop putting the lighthouse in the "sweet spot" and the path as a leading line to your subject might help. I tried to attach the cropped version, but not going through. I would say, crop on the left right at the path and put the lighthouse in the sweet spot (rule of thirds).

A doe with triplets is fairly rare. It is a sign that the doe isn't under pressure and that she is getting plenty to eat. The term, "Nature takes care of it's own" certainly applies here. Thanks for posting a great photo.

Come to think of it, we had a very mild winter here in the Northeast. Probably made it a lot easier for her.

I have seen a doe with 1 fawn or 2 fawns, but never 3. Everyone looks healthy and happy as they were romping through my yard. This was the only photo I could get with all 4 together.
