These Video's always bring tears to my eyes. The guys that flew them during WWll. Amazing.. Being a Pilot and a Mechanic I have a good idea what it takes to keep these Treasures Flying.. Oshkosh does a pretty good job of putting on a Tribute for the Planes and the Veterans that flew them.
I can just imagine being 19-20 years old, given a P-51, P-47 or a P-38 full of ammo, bombs, and fuel and told to go out and raise hell.. "America, could we do that again???"
WOW! Did you see that lens at about the 1:20 point? Wouldn't mined having one of those. Wouldn't want to pay for it, however.

This is great! I have been in aviation in the military (U.S.Navy) flying in helicopters keeping the Gulf of Tonkin free of subs--yeah, right!!! But to this spectacle, these is none better. The sound of round engines is unmistakable. In-lines are ok, but give me round engines anytime. BTW, sorry about your friend, but his efforts in aviation help make us free! RFB
Your friend was a heck of videographer and sure he was as good a photographer.

After watching the Video five times, I wonder what cost more. The Airplanes or the Cameras that were taking pictures there.. It would be a fun show to watch...
