D7100. Weather sealing, penta prism finder, dual memory card slots, many more focus points, much more robust build, mechanical AF drive motor, external selectors for adjustments. And its replacement, the D7200, adds WiFi and a much bigger buffer.

I went through the same decision process. Size, weight, and articulating touch screen made the D5600 my choice.

D7200 (over a 7100) - try getting refurbished from a reputable dealer (Cameta, B&H, Adorama) or Nikon direct to save $$$. The 7200 has increased buffer size and AF speed over the 7100.

However....if you plan to shoot a lot of video/ selfies for YouTube (or Vimeo, etc) , the 5600 might be better with the fully articulated screen which comes in handy to see yourself or the subject while shooting. Other than that the 7200 would be a better choice for still photography for many reasons.

Um yes you can a quick Google search would reveal that.

I shoot a D7100 and have not been disappointed in my 2 years shooting with it.

The price of the D7100 is now the same as the D7200 a while back. I would feel bad buying it now.

If you're just beginning, I would suggest the Nikon 5600 Then, when you are able to use the P S A M modes and have a complete understanding of shutter speed, f stops and ISO settings, I would spend the money for a Nikon D7500. Frankly, you could purchase a refurbished Nikon D3300 which has all the same features as the D5600. Save some money

I would question this. If you have any desire to grow and learn, I would NOT recommend the 3XXX series of Nikon. As a D3400 user (gifted...and I am ever grateful), I really crave the better AF focus system on the 5XXX and 7XXX series. IF you are looking to take casual pictures etc. then absolutely the 3XXX series and kit lenses are GREAT. I promise you, if you have a desire to grow and be creative in your new hobby, you will acquire G.A.S (gear acquisition syndrome) very quickly with the 3xxx series.

The D3300, while a good camera that can take great pictures, doesn’t match the D5600. Key items that the D5600 has include fully articulated screen, touch screen control, and snapbridge (bluetooth). Because of snapbridge you can link the gps from your phone. You can also use it for remote release.

The D5600 also adds a button for release mode. I find that useful. (PS: I set the function button to ISO, which I think you can also do on the 3300. A leftover habit from D5100 and D5300. But with the 5600 I usually use the touch screen.)

The D3300 has infrared release, which I really like but was removed from D5600, I suppose because of snapbridge. But the little infrared release is much more covenient to use.

The D3300 seems to have active info screen control, which the D7xxxs through 7200 do not have, and I consider an elegant feature of the D5xxxs. It is significantly enhanced with the touch screen of the D5600.

PS: The snapsort comparison of these two cameras has many errors.

All kidding aside, if you're just starting and have limited bucks, although the D3300 has some drawbacks but will give you a good introduction, Onse you've mastered that, then upgrade. I started out with the D3199 and now I use both a D5300 and a D7200. But if you have the bucks and are willing to put the time into it, I would go for the D7500. Very nice camera. Great for any type of photography
