I am a Nikon Nut. Check out my name on this site. Canon makes fine equipment that you will be happy with.

Doesn't do much as "cannon" fodder. No camera qualifies. What you need is something like a bowling ball.

I've taken some of my favorite photos on the Rebels (3) that I have owned. Great entry level cameras.

It is Easter Sunday and on this day you are forgiven. On this day Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, etc. brands, and all formats are Loved and Forgiven. Please, no bickering today. Happy Easter to all of my UHH Friends. Jimmy T

One of the models does have a swivel screen the S or the i , I forget. I think I will upgrade my wife's T1i soon. I also want to get her a 600 mm Zoom too. She has had zero problems & loves her Rebel. It does all she (we) need.

Congratulations on your acquisition, and welcome to the forum. Now, after the big brown truck arrives....the fun starts.

I have a T6i and have no problems with it.
Of course I am not a professional photographer either.
It has wifi and ability to control remotely as well as function as a master unit for wireless flash firing
Price is also more friendly.

Go for the Canon 6i over the 6 or go for the 7i. Check their on line store for refurbished. The give the same warranty on them as they give on new ones. A lot of folks on this UHH including myself buy that way....Rich

I've owned a Canon AE-1 since 1978.

I purchased a T6 two months ago. It's a remarkable camera.
Reading the manual is an absolute necessity because of
it's countless features.

With the right complement of lenses there isn't much
one cannot accomplish with this excellent camera if you
can live with 18 megapixels and a limit of three shots
per second.

I suspect most owners never learn all there is to know
about the T6. In addition to Canon's manual, there are
several excellent books available about this specific
model.

I recommend:
"Canon EOS Rebel T6/1300D For Dummies"

I have the T6s if you can squeeze the budget just a little the T6s will give you 24 megapixels improved focus and focus points increases from 9 to 19 all cross type. You also get a real handy digital readout on top of camera, I think it’s called a DO HIGGY can’t remember what it’s called plus an easy adjustment wheel on the back

Is that the T6 or T6i, I think without checking that there are two models.

I have been shooting Canon exclusively since I received an AE-1 in 1979. I have never had a problem.
