Squid is tasty indeed! We start with boiling water for your pasta of your choice. We'll not go into this process, again, do not over cook! Al dente, PLERASE!
Now the SQUID! I cut as shown, in rings, and added Testicles to coconut oil with a strong tab of butter, seasoned with: oregano, sweet basil, Italian season, dill, a sprinkle of thyme, and red pepper flakes, on high for 3 to 4 minutes, NOT LONGER . . . !
Pasta was mixed with my pre-made Marinara Sauce and added to Squid with Testicals, (look closely) too pasta, then plated! SIMPLE and TASTY!

You are right about Lent. For us New Yorkers who had a mother who came from Italy, WIDE NO YOLK NOODLES in place of anything would be cause for a beating!! Why not Calamari instead of Squid? Please tell me you did not use cheese. Mangia Bene
