Oh I read the article, and the article states numerous times that he (lawyers or accountants) used a loop hole. I'm sure his staff is very well versed in the Federal Tax code, just as your accountant or tax preparer is. If yours don't find every legal tax break they can when doing your tax preparation, you need to find someone else to do your taxes.
Just because Trump hasn't released his tax returns for the general public doesn't mean that he did anything illegal. Since the IRS has allowed this tax deduction (though it may be a loop hole) for the last 20 years, it must be a ligament deduction. All the bitching and jumping up and down, will not change anything.
I agree there are probably thousands of loop holes that needs be corrected, but until the code is changed people will legally use them Democrats and Republicans.
