You can see what I mean. The gentleman calls me a repuke and I am definitely middle of the road in my politics. I agree with some things the liberals want and some Republican ideas as well. I have no idea why the man flings insults around the way he does. Eventually even a mild mannered dog will bite if kicked often enough. Conservatives have been anchored in the same place for centuries along with some democrats.
Over time, most of the democrats took a step to the left, but there was still a bit of room for compromising.
Some time later they took another step left. There was a little room for compromise.
But then, liberals displaced the democrats and ran so far left to found themselves well outside of the Constitutional Rule of Law where compromise can only happen if conservatives were to leave their post to meet them.

That is never going to happen on my watch !!!
