Southeastern New Hampshire reporting in! Muted colors roadside in most areas with early leaf drop just west of here due to heavy rain and wind as trees approached peak color season. We are approaching a late peak this week in the southeast but the colors are dull compared to last years. Vines and low understory growth on Plum Island in Massachusetts was in full vivid color last week as plums, crabs and myrtle berries were ripening and juvenile Cedar Waxwings and Rosebreasted Grosbeaks attacked them in a feeding frenzy. There is still a lot of colorful fruit on the bushes as the foliage begins to dry and drop. Good luck!

What do things look like out your window? These reports seems more accurate than anything I have found on the internet so I appreciate your feedback. I am wanting one more fall color shoot for the year and am undecided as to the area. It would appear that color this year is a bit challenging in some areas...I am guessing the heat. But who really knows.
Thanks!
The south half of South Korea is at about 5 to 10 percent. It is very mountainous here and the trees in the mountains are changing faster than the ones in the lowlands.
In Eatern Oklahoma it is still bright green more than I can remember for a long time. We have lots if rain and ponds are full and rivers are in good shape. I could not ever remember such a more beautiful green year!!!
It is still very green in the Smoky Mts. I think about another week the color should be better. Weather report says cool temps next week which help with the color.
Starting to wane now. This should be the best last week in southern new england
Ugly so far in the Cincinnati. It was dry the last part of the summer.
Leaves hit the ground brown.
I have an Army bud who is a professional photographer in Bend Oregon. He sent me a few recent pics. The color there is spectacular.
Virtually no color on the Susquehanna Valley areas here on PA . Fall has been too dry , most leaves are either green or have already shriveled up and dropped
Blowing Rock NC colors not great yet. Some gold, but no great reds. Vistas mostly green, still.
Away from coastlines the color is very good in northern Michigan
S. E. Idaho/Pocatello high point was the first of the month. There was a big wind yesterday and blew the trees out. I did one shoot 5-7 and did well. I had another medical procedure so I was in soft moccasins that made difficult to impossible to get far afield.

Here in Shelton WA area most of the trees are pine so do not turn color, but there area lot of trees & bushes to turn yellow or red, just started turning real fast this past week and now 10-21-2017 most of them are in full turning season, & the rain days leaves fall fast. Going to take a drive today if not raining, want the SUN.
Have a beautiful fall folks.
