I took this shot on a very foggy morning over the weekend. Since catching leaf reflections on the mist covered water was out of the question I had to shift gears and try something different. I considered removing the lifeguard chair, but that's a little more invasive than I prefer. I'd love to get some feedback on this one as I am just not sure how I feel about it.
Great mood photograph, easy to do on monochrome film (put a light blue filer on the lens) but very difficult to do in color, so you did a great job
Thanks

It might be nice to have more reflection in the water.
Great pic I think you have solved the loch ness mistery
Na that can't be nessie ...why would nessie be swimming in a area that has life guards she knows how to swim ...lol

The business card idea, is as the two animated inventors in the guniess stout comercials say "BRILLIANT" the subject isn't even the fog it is lonleniess, solitude, emptyness, so all that empty sky plays a part in setting the mood. otherwise it would be useless space and should be cropped. the fact that the colors are subdued adds to the empty desolute feeling. I would hang this one up, I also would consider entering this shot in competitions. It is truly that good. Someone earlier said mood shots are real difficult to get right in color. I agree. I am very impressed and salute your talent.
Absolutely love the original composition ...but would also crop just a tad of the sky to bring in down a bit... Leave the length PLEASE it is perfect , and I love the chair too. As one post said it tells a story. Of course who's to say you cant have your cake and eat it too :-) print it both ways. one with the chair and one without. Love the photo
Great picture, I agree with the crop idea, but to me the empty lifeguard chair lends to the viewer the idea that change will come.
