How do you Cub fans feel this year?
How do the NNY - Colo - Hou - Wash - LA - SF - Tex fans feel?
Notice all the empty seats in stadiums?
Notice all the injuries to pitchers & position players in 2016-7?
Notice all the long HR's? High scores?
Has the makeup of baseballs changed?
Just wondering about the last 10 years!
Notice rule changes at home plate & 2nd base?

And did you know home plate is still 17" wide?

And did you know that it's still 90 feet between bases?
Todays fans don't like pitcher duels. They want lots of runs scored. Too many strikeouts.
The top people in MLB want smaller strike zone. There are very few complete pitched games.
Too many delays. When was the last 2hr 30min game in Boston? They tried speeding up games but they failed!
Too many umpire mistakes.

...
3 up, 3 down, 3 up, 3 down,... boring!
The minors are more fun to watch.
How many teams are over .600 %
Have you noticed that most of the umpires all the way up to the major leagues don't even know what the strike zone is.

The players are still making millions per year, right? That's all that really matters.
The intentional walk rule has changed as I saw it take place in a game recently, guess it speeds up the game, some are wondering when, if a player hits a homer, he can just go on back to the dugout, speeds it up.

They also use a DH...Baseball is no longer a game. It's a JOKE...
I dislike all the pitching changes. When I was growing up, Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson, Juan Marichal, etc finished games, and they usually pitched on three day rest. Money and muscles have severely affected the game.
I have to believe that the empty seats are due partially to the rapidly increasing increase in soccer in the U.S. Drive around the city on any summer weekend and you will see literally thousands of kids playing soccer, none playing baseball or softball.
Our local ballpark has 2 minor league teams, a Marlins affiliate and a St Louis affiliate. Old guys get to go to all the Fl.State League games on Wednesdays for $30. Watching these kids play is great. They actually hustle, not like the Million Dollar Wonders in the Majors. They're trying for a piece of that big money, so they put some effort into what they do. Also some of the errors and screw-ups are entertaining!
I'm not a big baseball fan, too slow and boring on television. We have a minor league team in our area and going to a game is more fun, not so boring. I grew up in the era of Mantle, Al Kaline and such. I do notice that the home runs hit are longer now, don't know if it's the bat, the ball or the steroids. The only baseball I see is on programs such as sportscenter, never remember players being interviewed and needing a translator. When you're paying these guys in the millions the fan pays that bill with larger ticket prices, which is why there are more empty seats. I don't know what a hot dog and drink cost now but it wouldn't surprise me if it was over $10, that's a lot of money if you're taking 2 or 3 kids.
