The ten foot log that I have mounted horizontally above the rails of my deck has become so worn that I have finally replaced it. The recent wind and ice storm that we had took out most of the topmost limbs of a mature oak tree that stands beside the deck so I decided that we might as well try to salvage something out of the mess. Yesterday we made the change and, at least for awhile, we will have some new structures that might add a little more interest.
I shot quite a few today and got a few that I have posted in here. I used The Canon 7D Mk II along with the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS with the 1.4X extender. It has been completely cloudy all day with occasional showers so I had to use a very high ISO that resulted in grainy results. I look forward to trying this equipment set-up with better lighting conditions.
Hope you all enjoyed a fine weekend!

Good shots considering the weather you had. Nice work.
Beautiful shots, Bob, and the graininess isn't enough to make a difference in the image quality IMO. I love the new perches.
Well done series! and a nice assortment of birds!
