Lol...thanks merrytexan...I think it's because we have a lot of hungry Hawks here in the winter😉 Really glad to know you liked them...this is only something I've been able to do since I moved North...it never worked in the South!
Living in the south will be my excuse from here on out jan.
then again...I could get outside and actually look for a hawk.

Very nice series Jan... I wish I could photograph a Hawk that close up... my only opportunity was last Summer but of course I didn't have my camera when the opportunity arose!
While working in my back yard I saw a Hawk land in a tree in my neighbor's yard... it would have been a fantastic shot but no camera with me... I quietly went into the house to
get my camera but of course he was gone when I returned... I walked along the fence line between my property and my neighbor's land looking for the Hawk and all of a sudden
a Rabbit darted out from a Hostas patch near the fence line... I watched the Rabbit run off and expecting the Hawk to appear and grab his prey but my luck wasn't with me but the
Rabbit was surely lucky... I was glad that the Rabbit safely got away and not a meal for the Hawk! Maybe I'll get lucky this Spring or summer... hopefully...
What an cooperative fellow to pose for you like that. Excellent shot, Jan!

Very nice. Super sharp shots.
Excellent shots, Jan. As you probably already know, the NC hawks have esp. and are physic to boot. All I've got to do is THINK the "c" word and they are gone like like the proverbial bat out of hell. Did you hypnotize this one? I am
with envy.
exemplary,Jan! I admire that you were out and about in this frigid weather. These portraits are awesome. Wonderful detail, excellent comps.

Beautiful, but I would have liked to be able to download them for a closer look.
Very nice work. Lighting is perfect.
Photographing wildlife is difficult.
