This is all that's left..
I went over to give the geese some water and cracked corn, and this is what I found! Of the six eggs she laid, only these two are left and there are no signs of mom, dad, or babies. These two eggs were covered with grass. They were there last night around 9PM. We saw them when we stopped at the Acme for a few things. My heart is broken! Last year they stayed a couple days after they hatched, but there aren't even cracked egg shells around. The duck is gone, too, but there are broken egg shells in her former nest. So sad! :(
At least the others hatched. That is pretty common in nature.

Sad indeed!
What a sad end to a series with so much hope!
Hope the goslings are okay, but nature isn't kind.

Hope those that hatched are safe Sue. Nature is not always kind
Were these two eggs not fertile, Robert? Thanks for looking.
