Wow you were lucky to be there at the culmination of a challenge fulfilled! And got some very moving shots! The one leaning on his bike looks like he is too tired to move so just leaned there remembering the trek.

It was total serendipity. I am thinking the solitary biker was emotionally overwhelmed by the moment - he was the first to the water and just stayed there as if trying to take in the significance. I'll never know but it must have been a highly emotional moment. I wondered how many started but didn't make it to the finish.

I have been with my grandchildren all of today. Thank you to all who have commented on my photo of a sunrise.
It was taken at the North Pier lighthouse in Menominee, MI. The body of water is Green Bay.

I'm coming in a little late but you have all been spot on with some great posts today. I was playing around with my new little Fuji, trying out some of the crazy filters it has in its repertoire.

I have these filters on my smartphone lhammer and the yellow only is a favourite of mine

As the last shot shows good to know when to use it and when not

These are a few from this last week. I took flowers to my friends at the bank and the second time I delivered a big vase, the one in blue, and there was a man there who wanted to buy it just like that. He wanted it for his wife. Unfortunately for him the vase was not replaceable and besides that it was for my friends. I told him sorry and he gave me his card and I gave him mine and so when he gets back in town if I still have anything to offer he would like to give some to his wife. This sort of thing happens often and when it produces an actual sell I am thrilled and buy some more flowers to go in my garden!!!
These are a few from this last week. I took flower... (show quote)

After a hard day's work to walk to the top of the road and just sit awhile is most enjoyable. It is only a small lake but full of photo opportunities which I have done over the years.

Thanks Mom of 2
