Seeing Richard's marvelous photographs and thinking of the wonderful heritage he has for his children, made me think of my heritage. Then I thought that my heritage is what made me me. Maybe i think too much, but as I look back at my photographs I see my heritage. I would like to see your heritage. I have found it very telling about who we are.
Ancestors: i do not know who any of these people are, but they are my ancestors
I am American and proud of to be one
I feel that my southern heritage makes me feel loved and cared for by my community
Excellent Start EMang! Thank you so much for hosting! Can't wait to see what everyone posts!

A few for starters.. I have many that I don't know who they are.
My Dad WWII Service
My Mother and Me 1945
My Son and Daughter
Unfortunately many of us do not know a lot about our ancestors.I am trying to record short stories of events in my life for my grandchildren who cannot envision life without an iPad or computer. My style of life will be very strange to them and their children.
Such nice pictures of your family. They are treasures. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for hosting. I've got my thinking cap on...hopefully it will be directly connected to the shutter - tomorrow.
I thought of this for tonight - it rather sums up a lot of my heritage as well as what I hope will be my legacy. We were raised on faith and practicing what you believed, did a lot of singing or playing hymns and songs together, and our lives were, and are, deeply involved in church and caring about and for others. We laugh a lot, have lots of fun and friends and our house continues to have frequent guests - often from foreign countries, which explain my interests in geography, culture and travel. Through my camera lens, I became the family "documenter". This one image, I believe, "says" a lot.
Thanks for hosting E Mang....

Wonderful photo's, really like the first one. Don't you just love it when you inherit family photo's and there are no names what so ever on the back. I have one of a large family and still don't know who they are, no one in the family knows who they are either.

I have been very lucky in that although I had a large family on my mothers side, they often had reunions and always took pictures. The First is with my grandparents who had 13 children and the last is about 11 years ago with the last reunion.
Sorry #3 is out of sequence, didn't know how to correct it.

Nice start, E Mang. Can't be more thankful for my heritage, but I'll need to do some digging. Save me a spot & I'll be back.
Wonderful family photos. Yes, you are fortunate that you have these family photos. Family reunions are very meaningful to all families. The bring connection and belonging. Thanks for sharing these.

See you all in the morning. It may be late. I have to take my dog to the vet for a new dressing on his surgical site. Can't wait to see what will be waiting for me.
