Why would a gay couple EVER want a christian to perform their marriage, EVER? This doesn't even make poor sense. Marriages are ceremonies that are happy, why bring christians into it? Just another topic someone brought up that so rarely occurs but is very divisive. Pepper, I'm surprised you would even go along as to believe this nonsense.

That's a good question, Donna. Why did they want to bring Christians into their happy ceremony?

You know the answer!

Publicity for the cause,

for legislation,

and ... the prospect of gouging somebody in the wallet when they politely say, "No thanks, we don't do gay weddings."

A lot more truth than most will want to admit.

The couple who was sued by the gay couple in the northwest for refusing to provide their services to a gay wedding is nonsense? I'm not the one bringing this topic to light Donna. We're told by the left that Christian businesses must act in contradiction to their beliefs or be subject to prosecution in the courts. This has happened several times and has been all over the news and in several threads here. It's not me bringing it up I'm only expressing my thoughts on the issue.

You don't have to follow what the "left" tells you to do. Where ever did you get such a dumb idea? There is no law mandating that you do this or that, and you are complaining like there is a law. You are acting like a worry-wart rabble-rouser instigator. Why not express your thoughts on things that are real?

Like shooting a gun at a target, someone has to aim it. I won't argue the point that meteorites might have been used, to destroy S&G but who do you think sent them. :)

Contrary to some people seeming to think God uses magic to do his work, he doesn't. He uses those things at his command, meteorites, earthquakes, and like Pompey volcanoes.
Ha ha ha. Jerry Falwell lives!

There have been 3 much publicized cases int the last year of this exact occurrence dljen. why would the conversation be happening if there wasn't instances of it happening. You yourself have made comments on some of them.
But you are right in saying why would gay couples want Christians that do not accept gay marriage to be involved unless it is to cause trouble.

RixPix, I think that marriage should be for everyone but someone who has a religious belief against it, should not have to participate in the event. In all of the cases I have been aware of, I have not seen a single Christian owned business trying to stop the weddings. They just do not want to personally participate. So how are these businesses oppressing anyone? Also, do you believe that this requirement
of public businesses should be for every business?

Many others here commented on those cases as they came up but for some reason can't remember them now. Memories of convenience I guess.

True...it is a pity that the ones that have are the most vocal and those keeping the faith by their very nature keep it to themselves.
