We've had snow, lots of it, falling steady and blowing, for two days.
As it ended the wind also died down and the birds were out again -- an opportunity to take portraits with a clean background.
Here are a few.

About the last -- about 20 minutes after daylight it was shot at ISO 6,400, about 50 feet away.

I can't think of a better snow portrait subject than a bird. So beautiful, Pierre!

What's good too is that it reflects back light and fills in shadows, and, tends to give the bird very nice catch lights.

What's that goldfinch doing out in the cold? I thought they'd all moved on to warmer climates! Very beautiful shots, Pierre!
