CC always welcome!!!

Love the beautiful flowers. They would be great on the wall. Thanks for sharing, am looking forward to seeing more. I like the black back ground, it really make the flowers pop. I notice several photographers use that method, Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Since I THINK I have the technique pretty much nailed down I am thinking I would like to do a series of flowers for my mother. She seemed to really like these.

They look good. Standout with the black background, and focus appears to be right "on."

When I taught photography in an Extension Learning program at UAB, I, along with some of the other instructors, tried to steer our stundents away from:
babies, pets, flowers and sunsets. Too easy. Did'nt really get them to explore the depths of the medium.

Doesn't mean that they can't be appreciated though. Even Ernst Haas, my main influence, had flower pictures.

Thanks for your entries.

What I find nice about these shots is the light... You know how to position and manipulate the light so that you get what you want from the subject. I thought the lighting was very well done.

Wow, Shane, beautiful images. I think #3 is my pick. Did you shoot these in a light tent? Very nice lighting.

Shane T, I agree with all the complements; great exposure, focus, depth of field and color rendition. How about telling us what you used and the settings, including WB and any PP. Geo.
