I was bored so I thought I would play around with some more fresh cut flowers.

Quite beautiful. Always difficult to separate the beauty of the subject from the beauty of the art.

of the 3 i liked #3 best - the lines and the space help strengthen it. Suggestion - try stuff without depending on the black background to make your shots.

Sure the black makes colors pop but then one must ask is it a crutch? or an artistic statement?

I'm not understanding what your saying. These were in a bouquet of flowers that my husband gave me. What back ground would you suggest that I use? How would you have taken these?

Shane... These photos are very artistic. Good focus and the 'background' is a consistent black that makes the flowers shine with hues. Well balanced. This is my favorite technic for plants that really concentrates your focus on the subject.

Thank you so much! I tried this technique once before with half way pleasing results. I was hoping to see if I could nail it down better this time. Went threw many photos to get these. I THINK I have a better understanding on what to do next time.

I think I like all three lots. Can't see anything wrong, only all good!
