CC always welcome!!!

Great shots! I don't care for the out of focus leaves on #1 but it's not wrong. It's just me. I like everything in a photo to be in focus unless there's an artistic reason to be blurred such as a portrait.

GREAT shots!!!

I certainly can't see any 'color shifts' in your photos, but, I suggest not mixing your light sources. Perhaps try to accumulate some clamp-on utility lamps, and similar light bulbs - either 'new' CFL's or 'old fashioned' bulbs. A 'pricey' solution would be studio strobes.

Good luck!

of the 3 i liked #3 best - the lines and the space help strengthen it. Suggestion - try stuff without depending on the black background to make your shots.

Sure the black makes colors pop but then one must ask is it a crutch? or an artistic statement?

I'm not understanding what your saying. These were in a bouquet of flowers that my husband gave me. What back ground would you suggest that I use? How would you have taken these?

No clue - just saying that black backgrounds are sorta of ubiqitious these days - being all the rage for flower work. Only news flash - people been doing it for ages - just saying maybe play around a bit... Ahhh how would I take em? Good question - day lily's are tricky but when I can I'll post a few and you can maybe see how I might have...but the only question that matters is how might you?

I'd like to know what you used for a background? Did you use flash? How did you "prop" the flowers up? They are quite lovely... great job!

Thank you. Sooner or later I may have to get the right kind of lights. I'm sure it would have made things easier. Need other stuff first......Like a tri-pod. :D

Please post some if you have them. I would love to see what you do. I see what your saying about the background. Thanks again!

Thank you very much. I just used a large piece of solid back material that I push-pinned to the wall. Flash was set at half power and the flowers were just put in a bud vase to hold them.
