Great shots Linda ! White Pelicans still on my bucket list ....Thanks for sharing .

Agree, great shots Linda!

We saw a gazillion White Pelicans at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge in January of this year. Most, if not all have migrated up north now. Here's a good web site for where to see them in Florida, http://www.authenticflorida.com/authentic-travel/authentic-travel/best-places-to-see-white-pelicans/?back=articles_travel .

I saw plenty of brown pelicans in both Florida at Daytona and California from San Francisco to Big Sur.

I really enjoy the shots posted on UHH of the FL and CA pelicans.

This month of amazing photo ops continues! Just as I was leaving an area near the Toppenish Wildlife Refuge - having seen nothing of interest - about 30 American White Pelicans lifted off from a marsh where they'd been hidden by tall grasses. Then they circled lazily round and round 'til I couldn't hold up my camera anymore :)

Great shots Linda. The way it was shot it almost looks like you were up there flying with them. Very well done.

Very good shots Linda….Looks like the flight in perfect formation is coming in on a "bombing" run….LOL.

Thank you very much, Helen. It is a wildlife photographer's dream around central Washington State! (no kangaroos, though :) )

Thank you Rich! I did get "bombed" by a seagull once, I believe - though my camera got the worst of it :)
