Really great shots Linda! Nicely done!

We see small groups of Pelicans, riding the up-draft along the first dune at the beach, but I have yet to be able to capture them like you got these.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate your taking the time to view and comment.

Aren't they wonderful? I love it when they come in close like this and their circling is almost hypnotic. Were you lucky enough to hear the wind in their feathers?

Very nice shots. The last one with the mountains in the background is particularly beautiful. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thank you Vicki! Your comments indicate you also very much appreciate these special experiences of witnessing awesome nature - and how lucky we are.

I did not hear them, though that might have been because of the blood pulsing through my ears from the adrenalin rush - lol.

The only reason I heard them was because my back was turned when they flew over. I heard them before I saw them. I think they were about 35 ft. above me. Did I have a camera? NO! But the memory of that experience will always be with me.

I saw plenty of brown pelicans in both Florida at Daytona and California from San Francisco to Big Sur.
