All whining and other comments aside.. I think your photo is very good. Lighting and composition is great

Yea it didn't have to go to that extreme all because someone wants to sling monkey poo.
Thanks for the kind comment

Perspective can also reduce size when this train rolls over you. Did you know that you are trespassing when you take a photo like this ?
He did say he was the engineer, therefore not trespassing if true.
It looks like "The Saint KK4GO" has retreated to the dog house, let's hope he stays there.

I would rather enjoy some of the great train photos you have posted than listen to a few nay sayers.
Post a few more shots. That will teach em.

Whether you have "written" permission or not it's an awesome photo. I love your posts from inside "your office" they give a very rare look at the scenery.
I can't believe these comments!😂 It's a fabulous shot. Interesting perspective great lines and DoF! Also love the color! Did you just give her a wax job???

The loco was about 2 weeks old, you could still smell the paint from outside about 10 feet away, plus it just stopped raining maybe 20 minutes prior to the image.

I will post wether or not he gives negative replies, he doesn't know me and I don't know him and I just don't care about him, he needs to post images so others can see if he is a person with credibility or just a bag of wind, seems like all his posts are just telling others how it should be done, just hope he understands everyone has different tastes and not just his opinion is the only way, we are all entitled to like or dislike someone's photos or give opinions, I support that and I choose to ignore his.
I really like the picture and I find it kind of interesting that so many of the members on the forum are also train buffs.
It would be interesting if you would post pictures of some of the things that to you are ordinary. After working at it so long you don't even think about some of the things you see. Perhaps you have and I just haven't seen them.
You scenery views are probably much different than what we see from the highway.
I don't claim to be a "buff" but I find train photos interesting.

Fabulous photo! With all the interest people have in photographing trains, it would be nice if there were better opportunities to safely take photos of trains. I wonder how many photographers know all the laws regarding taking photos of trains. It seems that a museum is our best bet.
All concerns aside, thanks for sharing.
