Can you help me pick a name. I am currently Digital Art Photography which is a mouthfull. Instead of calling my self ian wagg photography, has anyone got any sencible suggestions
Thanks
I have seen some crazy business names, ones where you just scratch your head and think what the heck? You can't go wrong by using your name, that way no one forgets who you are. Catchy names can be fun, but there's a lot more thought that needs to be put into it to make sure it's going carrying over the type of reputation you are trying to build and the type of clients you want to attract.
I have been through this in the past. If you are just in business for yourself then use your name. If you are creating a business that you wish to sell along with the goodwill etc at a later date then you need to create a studio name such like DAP Imaging or something that drips off the bottom lip!
Making sure it drips and not drools!! :-D
I use Graphic Communications

Those of a certain age may remember DA haircuts so wouldn't use that.

And a criminal may be putoff by DA.
What's wrong with Wagg Photography? With an unusual name like Wagg, why not use it to your advantage?
If I used Wilson Photography, it's no big advantage. Wilson is a common name, with no memorable aspects. But Wagg? That seems like something people might remember. It's up to you to be sure those are good memories.

You may not get any work from drug pushers or the mafia, and their the only with any disposable income!
Seriously, you have a unique name, use it. Google it, I'm sure it's not being used for a site.
To me, catchy names work better if their a little descriptive and you have a special niche, and maybe you do. Also, are you doing professional work, if not, it probably doesn't matter one way or the other.

In the U. S., that might sound like it's photography for the District Attorney - local court prosecutor.
